Don’t You Just Hate It?

Don’t you just hate it when things aren’t going your way?
When you have to listen to everything a mom or dad say,
Don’t you just hate it when parents feel they’re always right…
And everything you suggest or state, against it they fight.

Don’t you just hate it when you’re being misunderstood,
Even when you’ve tried to do the very best you could…
Don’t you just hate it when everything seems to go wrong,
You say the wrong things, as the Bible says, ‘No man can tame the tongue’.

Don’t you just hate it when problems seem to get you down,
And instead of smiling, you wear a frown,
Don’t you just hate it when there seems to be no hope;
And with all the down sides of life you have to cope?

But amidst all this, we’re the children of a King!
Home is not of this earth, so let’s remember one thing,
If we keep our robes spotless, keep our garments white:
Christ will welcome us home, as children of the Light!
